How do SANParks conservation fees work for South African residents?

Our safari rates cover the professional guide and open vehicle but exclude SANParks conservation fees. As of 2026, the local rate for South African citizens is R134 per adult and R67 per child (per day). To qualify for these local rates, you must present a valid South African ID, Driver’s License, or Passport at the gate.

Can I use my SANParks Wild Card for this safari?

Absolutely! If you have a valid Wild Card, you won't need to pay the daily conservation fees. Just ensure you bring your Wild Card confirmation (digital or physical) along with your ID. Your guide will facilitate the check-in process at the gate to ensure your membership is correctly scanned.

What are the gate opening times for a Full-Day Safari?

Kruger Park entrance gates currently open at 05h30 (from October to March). We aim to be at the gate right as they open to maximize your chances of seeing predators while they are still active. The park gates close at 18h00 in March, but our full-day tour returns you safely to Hazyview by 16h00.

Are meals included, or should we pack a cooler box?

While we provide bottled water, meals are not included in the standard rate. We schedule breakfast and lunch stops at major rest camps like Skukuza or Lower Sabie, where you can purchase hot meals and refreshments. You are welcome to bring a small cooler box with snacks, provided it doesn't obstruct the seating area in the open safari vehicle.
