Today we went in through numbi gate as we had some extra time on our hands. Upon entering the gate we were greeted in true Kruger fashion with a herd of about 200 cape buffalo as well as the Kruger style "Zebra crossing". After a quick lunch at Pretoriuskop camp we started our journey south toward s Malelane gate which took us about 4 hours with a short stop at Afsaal picnic spot to stretch and use the restrooms. As for sightings we were fortunate to encounter quite a few elephants and some great white rhinos. In between those we also saw a lot of other species such as kudu, wildebeest, waterbuck and giraffe to name a few. When we exited the park we were very blessed to experience a wonderful sunset over the crocodile river.

Today started with a bang as we encountered a whole pride of lions on a kill within 15 minutes from entering crocodile bridge gate. It was still fairly dark and we waited for the light to grow stronger which was fantastic. We spent about 20 minutes with them. After leaving the lions we were also very fortunate to find a cheetah. A true treat as their numbers in the park are very low. About an hour later we found some more lions and was very lucky to have a male lion roaring next to the road. The whole vehicle trembled as this magnificent beast was letting the whole park know that he was there!

Final day we entered at the malelane gate and was extremely lucky to find 11 wild dogs on a kill within 30 minutes from entering. Awesome sighting to say the least. We carried in with our drive and saw very fresh leopard and lion tracks but they unfortunately eluded us. Later after breakfast at afsaal we learned that a leopard crossed the road about 10 minutes behind us, that was after I spend about 25 minutes tracking him !!! .
