8 Day Rhino Safari
The Rhino Sanctuary is located on a beautiful game reserve in the heartland of Mpumalanga, South Africa, a treatment and care center was established, where injured or orphaned animals are nursed back to health and rehabilitated into the wild.
This is the Largest Rhino Sanctuary and Orphanage in the WORLD and is Staffed by hardworking dedicated “Captains of the Industry”. The Rhino Sanctuary is Led by a Passionate Lady Petronel Nieuwoudt who is the Founder and one of the few people worldwide that has specialized in the care of orphaned and injured rhinos, and her passion is truly inspiring to everyone that meets her.
The Rhino Sanctuary’s Mission is: To save Black and White rhinos from extinction. The Rhino Sanctuary is committed to rescue abandoned, injured, and orphaned rhinos and to rehabilitate them wherever possible. The help of veterinarians, nutritionists, ecologists, and other specialists, has been enlisted to ensure the successful rehabilitation and release of these animals.
This has been made possible through challenging work, trust, dedication, and good partnerships over many years. It’s with Partnerships like these, that Nhongo Safaris has been approved to offer our visitors the chance (of a LIFETIME) to spend time at the Sanctuary. This is a Learning experience with Lectures and support to the Rhino Sanctuary Staff and their daily tasks. All Tours are restricted to a maximum of 6 people as we want our clients to experience the Rhino Sanctuary on an intermit level, understanding how they can be involved.
Your Tented accommodation, provides for a small exclusive bush experience on the reserve where you will be accompanied by Your Rhino Sanctuary Host. Guest can expect personal attention with comfortable living. The Name says it all “Synergy Bush Camp” was established with one goal in mind and that is “The interaction or cooperation of Two or More organizations to produce a combined effect greater than the sum of their separate effects”.
After a more in-depth understanding of the plight of our Rhinos we then make our way to Nhongo Lodge for Four Nights visiting the Kruger National Park with daily game drives learning more about our Big 5 , Endangered species, Fauna and Flora.
