Days 2: Kruger Park

Everything starts early in the Kruger park in order to have a greater chance of seeing game, we depart camp when the gates open. Early morning is the best time to view our Elusive leopard and lions still on the prowl as well as the Hyena scavenging for food before the heat of the day. You’ll see, tall elegant Giraffes, their heads among the branches of the acacia trees and Mopani Vegetation, and a family of Elephants crossing the road ahead of you. You’ll see plenty of birds too – there are more than 500 species present in the Park. We’ll get back to camp mid-day after having breakfast along the way allowing you time for lunch and relaxation by the pool side or time for a siesta before departing on your Sunset or Night safari returning to camp by 19h30pm or 22h00pm (The date may change as all sundowner drives are subject to availability by the camps concerned) in time for a delicious dinner, which you can enjoy in the open air, listening to the never to be forgotten night sounds of the African bush. The distant laugh of a Hyena, or the roar of a Lion.

Days 3: Kruger Park

Today is a new dawning in Kruger with brilliant sunrises, the singing of Cicada beetles and birds as they get ready for another day. Your guide is on the lookout for the elusive leopard still on the prowl as well as prides of Lions on their morning walk to the watering hole for a cool drink before taking a Siesta during the heat of the day. After breakfast continue on your game drive before making your way back to camp for a mid-day break, departing once again by 15h30pm on another afternoon drive returning to your camp as the sun sets.

  • Our guide was Gert and it ended up being myself and my fiance only on the your, despite not having booked a private safari. Gert was brilliant. His knowledge of the park, animals and birds was encyclopaedic and entertaining. He had a great dry sense of humour, laid back and tried to facilitate our requests. The accommodation and food etc were nice, but the safari was just great. Highly recommended.

  • Three of us did the budget/economy tour and were surprised at how amazing it was for being a "budget tour". The drive to/from Johannesburg with Dez was smooth. The lodge was perfect; a really nice place and the meals were delicious. The best part of the tour was our guide, Robbie Williams. Robbie is extremely experienced and with him we saw the big 5 plus more. I would recommend nhongo to anyone!

  • Robbie was the most fantastic guide! He really took his time to explain everything to us and went out of his way to give us the best experience/time. Waking up for a game drive with him even after a short night was the biggest pleasure and we couldn't have asked for anything better!! Thank you so very much!!
