Nhongo Safaris - Open Vehicle Safaris Is Our Pride

Nhongo Safaris is an independent Safari Operator specializing in small group safaris for families and individuals as well as offering safaris for larger groups. Nhongo Safaris was founded by Dean and Verity Cherry, who have been in the tourism industry since 1993 and have a great love for the African bush as well as Africa's wildlife and natural heritage.

We are an owner run company, and pride ourselves on offering efficient, friendly and professional service to our guests with flexible itineraries and excellent rates. Allow us to share our enthusiasm and knowledge of the Kruger National Park with you.

We aim to meet and exceed the expectations of our guests, while keeping costs reasonable and maintaining the highest standard of service and attention to detail. We love what we do and aim to do it well. Our guides we employ, are all well qualified and handpicked by us and are all accredited with THETA (The Tourism, hospitality, sports education , and training authority) FGASA (Field guides association of South Africa) DEAT ( Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism). Our ranger guides are all knowledgeable and experienced in birding, wildlife photography and have a vast knowledge of the African bush which all help to make your South African safari a memorable experience.

Nhongo Safaris prides itself in being able to offer fully guided Open Vehicle Safaris departing from Johannesburg or Pretoria on a daily basis with a minimum of two passengers. We are able to offer overnight safaris from a two night to a seven night at excellent rates.

Nhongo Safaris also operate their own fleet of VW Microbusses for transfers to and from the Kruger National Park as well as six Open Safari Vehicle ten seater trucks for your game viewing pleasure. All our vehicles carry the relevant insurances as set out by the Tourism industry.

	Dean - Managing Director and qualified Game Ranger with level 3 SKS Dean has been working in the greater Kruger National Park and the Kruger National Park for the last Eighteen years. His passion is the bush and he has insurmountable knowledge when it comes to the fauna, flora and mammals found in the Kruger National Park. 	Verity - Administrative and Marketing Director All Administration duties and day to day running of Nhongo Safaris including all Marketing decisions for the company and when needed backup guide for the Kruger National Park. Verity is also the head Chef for our larger groups who prefer to have their meals prepared under the stars instead of eating in the camps restaurants. 	Sean - Office Manager Sean in charge of all bookings and queries that come through to the office as well as all finances he reports to Verity . 	Kerilouise - Reservations Kerilouise in charge of all queries and Reservations for the Kruger National Park as well as Reception duties. Kerilouise is busy with her Business Management Diploma on a part-time basis. She is also in charge of all Day Safari Bookings and the Co-ordination of vehicles and guides for these safaris. 	Mark - Ranger / Guide Mark has been in the industry for the last five years and has worked for Nhongo Safaris for the above period. All other freelance guides report to him when on Safari.
